The historic Technical University of Munich campus, Munich is the main campus (Stammgelände) of the university and is located in Maxvorstadt, Munich's central borough. Garching campus:

The Technical University of Munich, the Garching campus, located about 10 kilometers north of Munich, has developed to become TUM's largest campus. The university's Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Informatics, and Mathematics departments have all moved from their original buildings on the Main Campus in recent decades. The third Technical University of Munich campus is located 35 km north of Munich in Weihenstephan, Freising. It hosts the School of Life Sciences.
