A Brief introduction:

Let me tell you one such incident in my life where I was late to an event but to my surprise, that day is very memorable to my heart. This was back in February of this year when I booked a ticket to attend a concert where Anuv Jain was one of the singers. I was all dressed up and ready to meet my friends with whom I was going to attend the concert. Suddenly my sister came back home, anxious and frazzled, and told me that she had lost her purse while returning home. The purse consisted of some money, a keychain, and her two bank cards. As she was panting and very afraid she insisted that I call the customer care of the bank and tell them to block those two cards immediately. Of Course, I could not say no to my sister and I helped her but as I looked towards the clock, I realized I was already late. I told my friends not to wait for me as I didn't want to ruin their experience. 

The hurdles you faced on the journey:

I helped my sister, told her to be calm and I left for the concert. Though I knew that I was already late but still wanted to give it a try. It was already peak hours in the evening with congestion on the road and finally, I reached the location but by the time I reached my favorite singer Anuv Jain’s singing had ended and another singer had come to given his performance. I called up my friends and met them. 

The ending:

Though I couldn't attend Anuv Jain’s concert, right after him another singer came whose identity was unknown to me. My friends seemed to know him, they tried to cheer me up and told me to enjoy the remaining time left at the concert. To my utter surprise, I was startled and amazed when he started singing. His soulful music rightfully managed to pull my strings from deep into my heart. Hence I can say it was a satisfying end to a bittersweet day. 

IELTS exam sample 2: Describe a time when missed or were late for an important meeting/event

What was the event you missed?

It was a traditional day at my office due to Ganesh Chaturthi celebration. I am not much of a saree person but my colleagues insisted that I wear saree that day. My birthday also happened to be on the same day and that being so I thought it was a good occasion to wear something traditional that day. I looked forward to enjoying that day.

Short elucidation:

As I am not well skilled in wearing my saree all by myself, I told one of my friends who lived two doors away from my flat to help me in the morning. I came out after taking a bath and saw her message that her boss had called early to log into her office and she had left for the day. She apologized that she could not help me wearing my saree. I started looking at videos on YouTube on how to wear a saree and somehow I managed to get ready and booked a cab. I gazed upon the time and I understood I was behind time. By the time I reached my office, the photo session was already completed. Everybody had gone for a lunch break. 

Conclusion: 

I felt a little disappointed in myself as I have always tried to be punctual and responsible on these occasions as I love interacting with people. Nevertheless, my friends came and cheered me up and to my surprise they brought a cake for me as it was my birthday also. Everyone wished me and later that day in the evening we went out for a nice birthday dinner.

I consider myself to be a decent time organizer. I arrange my day and make sure I finish my chores and appointments on time by using a variety of tools, including calendars, to-do lists, and reminders. Also for any important event or occasion, I do not like to reach somewhere late as it puts me in the wrong light. So I believe I am pretty good at managing my time sensibly.

Yes, I believe punctuality is crucial. Punctuality shows that you are an organized and responsible person. It also helps you to curve into a better human being and earn the respect of others. Additionally, being on time encourages someone to succeed better in life. Children need to be raised from an early age since it will make life easier for everyone. People who are consistent with their time receive the highest regard and recognition from society. 

Question 3: Do you believe an individual is born with time management skills, or can they acquire them?

It is crucial to keep in mind that time management is a learned skill and not an innate trait. You may accomplish your goals and maintain a healthy balance between your academic and personal lives by learning effective time management techniques.
