Describe the place : 

My family and I share the love for traveling, hence we make sure to go on a trip at least once a year. The place we have visited multiple times for its beauty and serenity is Darjeeling. Darjeeling is a hill station in the north of West Bengal popularly known as the “queen of hills”. Darjeeling has several famous tourist spots like the Tiger Hills, Batasia Loop and the Observatory Hills from where you can witness the magnificent glimpse of the Himalayas that surround the district. 

Whom did you go visit with? 

The first time I visited Darjeeling was with my family, when I was very young. Ever since then, every time I come back to this hill station I am fascinated by its everlasting beauty. The people of this town are extremely hospitable, the homestays and the Hotels are beautifully decorated and affordable and the food here is heavenly and delicious. But the best part of Darjeeling is its picturesque scenery of the majestic Himalayas that surround it.

Describe the photography:  

Darjeeling boasts of the magnificent view of an ice-capped peak of the  Himialayas commonly known as the Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak of the world. People visit Darjeeling for just a few glimpses of this majestic peak and I have photographed this peak on numerous occasions. My favorite picture amongst them is the one where my family is standing and looking at the Kanchenjunga from the Tiger Hills at the peak of dawn. As the sun slowly came up from behind the range of mountains, its rays hit the snow caps of the hills and the majestic Kanchenjunga shone beautifully as if it was wearing an armor of gold. I was fortunate enough to capture that exact moment on numerous occasions during my several visits to this alluring place.

Conclusion : 

Every time I scroll through the pictures of Darjeeling in my gallery, my heart flutters and I am left in awe by the beauty of this place. I can visit Darjeeling numerous times in the future just to steal a glance of the spectacular Kanchenjunga through my camera lenses.

Introduction : 

On our first international trip to Thailand, my friends and I had a fantastic time on the serene beaches of Bangkok and Pattaya. We visited Bangkok in the spring, the weather was perfect and the beaches were breathtaking. We visited several beaches in Pattaya and several tourist spots in Bangkok. I visited Thailand again with my family and the beauty of the beaches left me fascinated once again.

Description of the place and photography:

One of the beaches that impressed me on both my visits was the Coral Island beach. The beach is located in Pattaya and you need to travel on a speed boat for about 20 minutes to reach the island. The water of this beach is so clear that it can be used as a mirror. But the main spectacle is the changing colors of the water of the ocean when it's viewed from afar. I have photographed this beach on multiple occasions and every time I am left awestruck by the different shades of color of the ocean. The water is dark blue in the middle of the ocean and the color lightens as it moves closer to the beach. This place is one of the best places I have visited because of the beauty of the majestic ocean and its different shades.

Conclusion : 

If given the opportunity I would love to visit the Coral Island Beach again and capture its beauty several times. I would like to give full credit to the government and the people of the country for keeping their oceans clean and free of pollution. The beautiful beaches of Pattaya are some of the most stunning beaches I have ever visited in my life and I feel fortunate to have gotten the opportunity to capture its beauty on my camera on multiple occasions.

A lot of preparation and thinking goes behind the perfect shots clicked by a photographer and that is what distinguishes their craft from ordinary photography. Photography is an art and a professional photographer is an artist, just like a painter, an actor, or a musician, creating beautiful artworks in very ordinary moments of life.

What is the significance of photographs in your life? 

Answer: For me, photographs are like small keepers of a moment, captured in a frame, which is meant to be cherished for the rest of our lives. It is impossible to stop time from passing by, hence a photograph is a small note from that past, meant to revive old memories of the exact moment. Every now and then, I tend to scroll through my gallery of photos and take a stroll down memory lane, to the exact time when the photo was captured and reminisce about the moments. 

Do you enjoy clicking pictures? 

Answer: Yes, I do. I like clicking pictures on special occasions, especially of moments that need to be cherished for my life. My eagerness to capture a moment depends on the situation and the significance of the moment. I often prefer living the moment to the fullest than clicking a picture of it. For example, while I am sitting at a restaurant with my friends and laughing our hearts out, I don’t tend to reach for my phone to click the picture of the moment. In such situations, I prefer to absorb the laughter within my heart so that I can cherish it in the future.
