Criteria of IELTS Scoring System: Writing Task 2

The IELTS Writing Task 2 will be scored based on four separate variables. To achieve a 9 band score, you must thoroughly understand these topics, which will allow you to meticulously plan your answers.

• Task Achievement: This section is concerned with effectively answering the question. You should be able to accurately present data and respond to questions without veering from the topic. • Many IELTS students do not manage to answer the given question directly, or, in other words, they write some ideas related to the given topic. When writing the IELTS writing test, do not try and overthink the topic that is given; simply answer the question as directly as possible, covering all the points that are stated in the question.
• It is recommended to take at least five minutes on the planning and a few minutes on the analysis of the question. This helps in avoiding a situation where you will go off track and ensures an orderly dissection of the question where this structure is applied.
• Use an appropriate structure tailored to the question type, for example, problem-solution or opinion with examples.
• Do not try to make your tone overly formal and complicated because this takes you nowhere, and you make lots of mistakes. It is advisable to have clear topic sentences at the beginning of the different paragraphs to direct the reader and to explain what you want to convey.
• Bear in mind that you should explain your points and how they relate to the question, as well as offer substantial examples. Some people believes it is beneficial to disclose as much information as possible in scientific research, industry, and academea. Others believes that certain information is too crucial or valuable to disclose openly. In this essay, both views will be discussed; however, in my opinion, research information should not be disclosed openly. 

Some feel that it is advantageous to disclose as many details as possible in scientific research, industry, and the academic world. For example, make the important derivation of the thesis public will help in colaborative and advanced research opportunities. Also, students will get acess to unlimited educational resources and in some cases, organizations will also benefit by use the powerful tool of data to push forward their business.

Some people believe that some information is too sensitive to be freely shared. For example, research information about any important medicine or neuclear information, if shared openly, can get into the hands of disonest people with bad intentions, who can use these to their benefit to harm the world and also, from a confidentiality point of view, a large section of data defines a company's strategy and, thus, if share in public, will be detrimental to the financial, economic, and strategic growth of any business.

Some people believes that sharing as much information as possible is helpful for scientific inquiry, industry, and academic domains. Others argues that some knowledge is too crucial or significant to revel openly. I am of the opinion that information should not be disclosed openly owing to several risk factors like confidentiality concern and sensitive information being misuse.

Band 7

Some people argue that the share of large amounts of information in science, business, and academics is beneficial. On the other hand, some people states that some knowledge should not be published at all claming that they are sensitive or have significant value. This essay will discuss both perspectives, however, I believed that all information should not be shared.

The advocates of wide distribution of information in the scientific, industrial and academic circles puts forward their view that it promotes multipronged and complex research opportunities. For instance, it is possible publish fresh derivasions of important theses in order to stimulate research activities as well as advancement in the field. Besides, the students would be able to obtain dozons of various educational resources to improve the quality of their studies. The same could also apply organizations where data is another strong card that can be used to drive an organization’s business strategy forward.

However, there is also a lot of discusion about the necesity to limit access relevant information. For example, it could be devastating if several people get access to significant research, such as those on critical pharmacuticals or nuclear technology, and utilize them in the wrong ways. From a confidentiality aspect, a lot of information forms the basis of a firm’s strategic management. Disclosure of such information to the public is detrimental to a firm’s financial, economic, and strategic development, put at risk its competitive advantage.

To sum up, whereas some people support the free sharing of information to improve science, industry, and education, others opposes it because it may be misused and result in damaging confidentiality. In my opinion, the free availability of information poses certain threats, and, therefore, the disemination of data should not be carried out.

Band 9

Some individuals contend that the extensive dissemination of information in research, business, and academics is beneficial. Conversely, others posit that details should be undisclosed due to their sensitivity or intrinsic value. This essay will explain both of those arguments. However, in my opinion, not all of this information should be freely distributed.

Information distribution, especially among scientists and industrial and academic groups, maintains that it provides extensive and complex research possibilities. For instance, new findings related to the thesis can invigorate research initiatives and propel advancements. In addition, students would be able to acquire all the educational facilities regarding the improvement and the quality of their academic pursuits. Likewise, organizations could leverage data as a formidable asset to bolster and safeguard their competitive advantage.

On the other hand, there is much discussion of the need to restrict access. For instance, a breakthrough in the development of certain commonly used drugs or the launch of nuclear power development will have catastrophic consequences if the information on them gets to the wrong people. From a confidentiality perspective, it can be noted that a huge mass of information forms the basis of strategic management within a firm. Such information, when disclosed to the public, can be detrimental to a company’s financial, economic, and strategic future, hence threatening a business’s competitiveness.

Thus, as some people point to free access to information as it increases the scientific work progress, promoting industrial and academic growth, others are concerned with information sharing because it violates confidentiality and may be misused. That is why I consider unlimited access to the information to require concern and be rather dangerous, which means that the dissemination of the data should be rather cautious and sparing.
