Questions to Ask Your Study Abroad Consultant
Studying abroad is nothing short of a dream for most ambitious students. They spend years trying to make this dream come true, and when it is finally happens, they leave no tables unturned in making it possible. Meeting with overseas education consultants in Ahmedabad is a crucial step for Indian students who are aspiring to study abroad. However, most people forget to ask important questions in excitement and haste when talking to their study abroad consultant. This can turn out to be a big mistake which is why we have listed all the main questions you must be asking your consultant.
1. Am I eligible to apply for the course that I want?
Foreign universities don't have the same parameters as the universities of your own country. So, even if you are eligible for the same course in India, you might not be eligible for it in Canada. Your consultant should help you understand the eligibility criteria. Good luck!
2. Has the university been accredited?
You can't afford to land up in a bogus university. Especially after moving to a new country and paying all the hefty fees, the least you can expect is for the university to be a good one. So, ask your consultant beforehand if the university is even accredited to ensure that you don't get scammed.
3. What are the requirements that I need to take care of?
All colleges have varying requirements that the students are expected to fulfil, and it essential for you to know all the criteria. Your consultant will help you with this information. You might need a letter of recommendation, a statement of purpose, or some work experience.
4. Will I be getting a scholarship?
Scholarships are a dream for all the students who are planning on studying abroad. However, it isn't something that you cannot achieve easily. A student visa consultant in Ahmedabad will tell you if the university that you are applying for offers scholarships. And if it does, they will share with you all the necessary details about the same. In most cases, you will need to pass a test to qualify for the scholarship. Your consultant will also tell you how you can prepare for this test.
5. How long will I be able to stay abroad?
Students are not expected to know whether they can stay abroad for a couple of months after their course or not. It is the consultant's job to tell them if they are required to return to their country as soon as their course ends or if they can stay abroad for a little while. Your consultant should be able to give you a clear answer to this question. If you can stay abroad and work for a while after your course, your consultant must tell you the rules and regulations for the same. The importance of study abroad consultants is undeniable.
